The basics
What this is, and what it isn't.
- What is iConfirm?
- iConfirm is a year-long confirmation curriculum companion for churches. Students work through five short weekday lessons — a few minutes each — covering scripture, church history and UCC identity, sacraments, spiritual practices, and ethical questions. The lessons prepare them for the conversation their church has with them on Sunday. The app teaches the curriculum; your church confirms the student.
- Who is it for?
- Churches running youth confirmation, typically for students in roughly grades 7–9. It is built around the United Church of Christ, and it is written for pastors, youth ministers, and volunteer leaders who want a thoughtful program without building one from scratch. - Does finishing the app confirm my child?
- No. Confirmation happens in worship and community, with your congregation. Nothing a student completes in the app confers confirmation or stands in for the church's own process — the app is preparation for that, not a substitute.
Getting started
What a church needs before the confirmation year begins.
- How does a church get started?
- Get in touch and we will set your church up. iConfirm is not open for self-serve signup yet, so there is no public form to fill in — email office@iconfirm.app and tell us a little about your congregation and when your confirmation year starts.
- What does a church need to run it?
- A leader to run the program — a pastor, youth minister, or volunteer — and a group of students; the pilot is built around roughly six. You will also need to be willing to pay for it: iConfirm is a paid product, not a free one. Beyond that there is nothing to install. Students use it in a browser on a phone or tablet.
- What does it cost?
- Pricing is shown at checkout, which is where the current rates always live. We would rather point you at the real number than publish one here that drifts out of date. If you want it in writing before you go any further, ask us at office@iconfirm.app.
Privacy and your child's data
The short answers. The policies govern.
- What data do you collect about my child, and why?
- Enough to run the curriculum and no more: who the student is, which church they belong to, how far through the year they are, and the reflections they write. Reflections are private to the student by default — a student chooses what, if anything, to share with their leader. - How does parent consent work?
- A parent creates the account and enrols their own child through the link their church sends them; a student does not sign themselves up. Some students are under 13, so the consent and notice requirements that apply to children govern this and are set out in full in the Children's Privacy Notice and the Privacy Policy. Those documents, not this page, are the authoritative statement of your rights and how to exercise them.
- Who can see what a student writes?
- A student's notebook is theirs. Sharing an entry with a leader is a deliberate act by the student, not the default, and a leader only ever sees students at their own church. The governing detail is in the Privacy Policy.
Billing, cancelling, and help
How to reach a person.
- How do we cancel?
- Email office@iconfirm.app and we will handle it. Cancellations are processed by a person right now rather than through a self-serve button in the app. What happens to billing and access when you cancel is governed by the Terms of Service — ask us and we will tell you plainly before you commit to anything.
- How do we get help?
- Email office@iconfirm.app. A real person reads it. If something is wrong for a student mid-year, say so and we will sort it out — that matters more to us than the ticket queue.
