Before you decide

iConfirm is operated by BIBS Specialty Services, Inc. Your Student can use the rest of iConfirm without using the Discussion Board. The Board is optional and is off unless both the Church enables it and you separately opt your Student in.

The Discussion Board is limited to Students ages 13 and older. iConfirm checks your Student's stored date of birth and will not allow a Student under 13 to opt into or use the Board, regardless of what a Parent or Church selects.

What the Board is

The Board is a text-only space for opted-in Students in the same Church confirmation program, plus the Church's Leader. Students and the Leader can create short posts and replies; the Leader may also post announcements to the group (for example, "meet me after church by the side door"). Content appears chronologically; iConfirm does not personalize or rank it based on a Student's behavior.

The Board does not allow direct or private messages, photos, videos, audio, attachments, external links, location sharing, social-media handles, or off-platform contact requests.

What we collect

If you consent, iConfirm will collect and maintain:

• the Student's Board posts and replies;
• the Student's displayed nickname or first name and last initial;
• post and reply timestamps;
• reports the Student makes and reports involving the Student;
• blocks and moderation actions the Leader takes, and the reason for an action; and
• your consent or withdrawal, the notice version, verification method, and timestamp.

We do not use Board content for targeted advertising, sell it, or use it to train AI or language models.

Who can see it

Other opted-in Students in the same Church, and the Church's Leader, can see Board posts and replies. You do not have a live view of the Board. You may request a copy of your Student's Board post and reply history at any time by emailing iConfirm@iConfirm.app from your verified Parent account; iConfirm will provide it within a reasonable time. BIBS's authorized operator can access Board records only for security, support, a verified privacy request, serious platform misuse, legal compliance, or another documented operational need.

The Board is restricted, but it is not confidential. Another authorized Student can remember, repeat, copy, or capture what they see even though the rules prohibit misuse. Your Student should not post anything they need to keep private.

Private reflections remain separate. Turning on the Board does not let Church Leaders or other Students read private reflections or private survey responses.

Safety and moderation

The Church's Leader is responsible for moderating the Board. A report immediately hides the identified post or reply while the Leader reviews it. The Leader may restore it, delete it, warn or suspend a Student, or refer serious conduct to the Church's safeguarding process. iConfirm currently has one Leader account per Church; there is no second in-app moderator. BIBS may separately restrict content, an account, or the Board itself for security, legal compliance, or a serious safety reason, whether or not the Leader has acted.

BIBS does not continuously monitor the Board and is not a counseling, clergy, crisis, or child-abuse intake service. Board reports must identify Board content or conduct. If anyone is in immediate danger, call 911. For a suicide or mental-health crisis, call or text 988. A Student should also tell a Parent or another trusted adult.

Controls for your Student

• The Student appears only by nickname or first name and last initial.
• Only the Student's opted-in Church group can see posts.
• The Student can block content from another Student and report a post or reply.
• iConfirm does not currently limit what hours Board notifications are sent, or how much time a Student spends on the Board in a day.
• You can suspend Board access, withdraw consent, request a copy of your Student's Board activity, or request deletion.

Retention and withdrawal

Board content is retained while the Student participates and while reasonably needed to operate and secure the Board.

If you withdraw Board consent:

1. the Student immediately loses Board access;
2. the Student's existing posts and replies are hidden from ordinary peer view and replaced in threads with a neutral removal marker where needed for coherence;
3. active copies of the removed text and displayed identity are deleted within 30 days unless a documented legal or safety hold applies; and
4. applicable encrypted backups expire or are reconciled within 90 days so removed content does not return after restoration.

Reports and moderation records may be retained for up to 12 months after resolution when needed to prevent repeated misuse, document action, or protect users. Minimal consent and deletion evidence may be retained for six years after the event to demonstrate what was authorized and completed; it does not contain the deleted post text. A valid legal hold or federal preservation duty may require limited records to be kept longer.

You may request review, correction, export, deletion, or withdrawal at any time from your verified Parent account or by emailing iConfirm@iConfirm.app from the verified Parent email.

How we verify you

For a Parent who completed a paid family enrollment, iConfirm uses the original Stripe payment transaction as the parental-verification event. To grant Board consent, the Parent must sign in to the same verified Parent account and complete a fresh email or password reauthentication step.

For a scholarship or zero-dollar family without a qualifying payment transaction, iConfirm will use a signed consent form returned by electronic scan or another method expressly recognized by the FTC before enabling the Board. An ordinary unchecked email reply or an action from the Student account is not enough.

Required choices

The production screen should present these as separate, initially unchecked controls:

[ ] I am this Student's parent or legal guardian and have authority to make this choice. I have read this notice and consent to iConfirm collecting, using, and disclosing the Board information described above so my Student may participate in the same-Church Discussion Board.

[ ] I understand that Board posts are visible to opted-in Students and the Church's Leader at this Church, are not private reflections, and may be copied or repeated by another authorized participant despite the rules.

[ ] I understand that the Church's Leader, not BIBS, performs routine Board moderation; the Board is not continuously monitored and is not an emergency, counseling, clergy, or abuse-reporting channel.

The Student must separately accept the age-appropriate Community Rules before first use. Refusing Board consent does not prevent use of the rest of iConfirm.

Consent record

iConfirm should retain: verified Parent ID, Student ID, Church ID, original verification method and transaction reference or signed-form reference, fresh-reauthentication method, UTC timestamp, BOARD-1.0 notice version, linked Privacy/Children's Notice versions, each choice, and later withdrawal or re-consent. The record must not include a full payment-card number.
