What iConfirm Students Should Know — v2

iConfirm helps you work through your church confirmation program. This page explains what happens to your work and the rules for using the app.

Your private work

• Your private reflections and private survey answers are not shown to your Church Leaders through iConfirm.
• Your Leaders can see your attendance, lesson progress, completion, and anything you deliberately mark shared.
• Your Parent can reset your PIN. Your Leaders cannot see or reset it.
• You can choose to send particular entries to your Parent.
• Your Parent may have legal rights to request, review, export, or delete information about you.

"Private" means private from your Church Leaders through the app. It does not mean that nobody could ever access the information. iConfirm's authorized operator can technically access stored entries when needed for a verified Parent request, security, support, or law. Entries are not end-to-end encrypted.

Think before sharing

Only mark an entry shared if you want your authorized Church Leaders to read it. Leaders may export shared content. If you change your mind, use the revoke sharing button next to the entry. iConfirm can stop future access but may not be able to retrieve a copy someone already printed, photographed, or saved elsewhere.

Private reflections are not monitored for help

iConfirm does not routinely read private reflections. Do not put an emergency request in a private entry and expect someone to see it.

Look for the "Need help?" page in the app. It reminds you of this, and tells you to talk to a trusted adult, your Parent, or your Church leader, call 911 if you're in immediate danger, or reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by call or text. That page doesn't collect anything you type or send it anywhere — it's just information.

Photos

Photo uploads are turned off. Do not try to bypass that restriction. If photos are enabled later, iConfirm will show new rules before you upload anything. Photos of people will be prohibited.

Rules for using iConfirm

Please:

• use only your own account;
• keep your PIN private;
• be truthful and respectful;
• share only content you have the right to share; and
• tell your Parent or iConfirm if you believe someone accessed your account.

Do not:

• try to enter another person's account or another Church's space;
• harass, threaten, exploit, or impersonate anyone;
• upload harmful software or try to break the app;
• post another person's private information;
• upload illegal or sexually exploitative content; or
• use iConfirm for an emergency or to contact strangers.

Breaking these rules may result in content removal, restricted access, or account suspension.
